We hope you all enjoyed watching us compete on the Italian Fword show for ‘Britain’s best local restaurant competition’.
The Italian category was hotly contested with over 700 restaurants competing across the country, so to make it down to the last 2 was a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for us.
The response to the show has been amazing and it’s great to see so many new faces at Prosecco. Everyone has been so supportive, we really felt the show was a good representation of who we are and the ethos of Prosecco. Diego really enjoyed working with Gordon and his team and despite the fact we so narrowly lost, we are proud to have acted in the true spirit of the game! We are now taking bookings for New years eve and already have quite a few bookings for Valentine’s day, which is on a Sunday this year, so try and book early if you can.
Thank you again for all your support and we hope to see you at Prosecco very soon.
Prosecco Restaurant to Appear in Channel 4’s The F Word
On Tuesday 3rd November Gordon Ramsay’s F Word returns to Channel 4 at 9pm with an exciting new mission: the nationwide search for The F Word’s Best Local Restaurant.
In the first episode, viewers can watch Prosecco Restaurant battle it out against Leeds based Salvo’s Italian Restaurant & Salumeria in the famous F Word kitchen where 50 diners will decide if they are going to pay for the three dishes each restaurant prepares. The starter chosen by Gordon from both the restaurants’ menu is their respective homemade ravioli. Each restaurant has the opportunity to choose their main course that they will cook on the night. The dessert is one of Gordon’s recipes.

Prosecco Italian Food and Wine Club
Spend a leisurely evening tasting food and wine from regions of Italy.
Each region of Italy has its own unique food and wine characteristics. At Prosecco we like to choose a single region and then present 5 food and wine courses indigenous to that area. We use typical ingredients, cooking methods and wine matching to portray the cuisine.
These evenings are tutored, but relaxed and great fun!
Please send your contact details if you would like to be notified of our next evening (planned for January 2010).
Many thanks to all those who put forward nominations for Gordon Ramsay’s F Word, 5th series, to find Britain’s best local restaurant. Fingers crossed and watch this space for more news.
